I
wrote an earlier blog about what I think about when I lap swim.
Each
time we swim, I do eight laps of the American Crawl; nine laps with the back
stroke, and three laps breast stroke. With each lap when I’m doing the American
Crawl, I think of one person and think: May you be happy May you be safe. May
you be healthy. May you be peaceful. By the time the week is over, I have done
laps for all my brothers and sisters, DeRay & I and our children and their
spouses; and our grandchildren, including the “unborn ones”.
Lucy
is the only one who has died.
I
can’t help myself, when I do her lap, I think:
“May
you be happy. Is there anything but happiness in heaven? There isn’t any
sadness, is there?”
“May
you be safe? Is there danger in heaven? You don’t feel threatened to you?”
“May
you be healthy? Is there illness, disease, pain in heaven? Isn’t everyone
healthy?”
“May
you be peaceful? Is there anything but peace in heaven? Are there wars?
Strife?”
Still
wondering.
And
also, what language do you speak?
