The October Birthday Bunch

“Claudann, a friend for over 50 years,
was posting on Facebook Wednesday night.
Thursday morning, she was dead.
A stroke.
No chemo, no radiation, no infusions, no surgeries, no opioids.”
“Are you jealous?” Amy asked.
“Yes, I am.”

“Well, look at you," she says, "sitting there eating a hamburger.
Claudann can’t have a hamburger.”
“You’re right.”
I also had a banana split oozing in chocolate and nuts.
I’m with amazing family.
The world is filled with wonder and grace.
My heartfelt gratitude.
Charlene Seeley (Oct. 1, 1933), Sylvia Hadfield (October 9, 1920), Jeanette Hugh (October 3, 1936), Claudann Loveless (October 10, 1944)

I don't even recognize Claudann. But looking at the photos in the video on her memorial site, her daughters look exactly like her (as I remember her from 40 years ago).
