Merry Christmas

Mean East Winds toppled

The 40-foot blue spruce.

Why it didn’t hit our house

We can only deduce.

 

A man who wanted the wood

With a big chainsaw

Buzzed off its branches

While we stood in awe.

Kindly ward members

Helped with the debris,

Which erased all trace

Of that magnificent tree --

Except for the very tip

“A Christmas Tree?”  YES!

The mighty Blue Spruce

Yet doth bless.
