I baby my knees,
I admit it,
Walking up and down stairs
Like an old lady (duh)
Putting the same foot in front
On every step.
Early each morning
I like to lie on my back
Holding my big toes
With my thumb and next two fingers
Then raise my legs toward the ceiling
Swaying back and forth.
It feels so good on my back,
While shooting pain through my touchy knees.
“Calm down knees,” I scold,
“All day long I cater to you.
Give my back a break!”
