Whether it’s a trip abroad,
A cruise
A week on the Colorado River
Or easy stuff like Snowbird and St. George;
Even lunch out with friends
A simple meeting; a convention;
Anything that gets me out of my routine;
I always wish I hadn’t planned to go.
I get anxious
And yearn desperately for normalcy.
I love it so.
It’s so cozy and safe.
Yet, eventually,
when normal routine is restored
There is a yearning
For the stimulation of a symposium;
The awe of a mountain musical;
A chat with friends;
Trips both long and short;
dinner out.
A restlessness with routine
A restlessness with routine
After relinquishing it reluctantly.
What?
No place to go today?
Time for exercises?
Tedious.
What?
No place to go today?
Time for exercises?
Tedious.
