When
Ed went to check in at the gym
He
could not find his coded tag.
The
elevator was waiting so he hopped on.
After
our workout and swim
I
stopped by to check him in
And report
his tag lost.
“Oh,
someone turned it in.
Right
here.
In
this drawer.
Somewhere.”
She
could find it nowhere.
Found
then lost.
Sometimes
I wish we still poked
Our index
finger in a contraption
For identification.
We
never lost those.
