Even in early December
we were tired of winter and snow
freezing wind, sleet, fog and colorless days.
Heading to San Diego to catch the sunshine
on a cruise to Mexico,
I commented after waking up in Primm
with the sun shining brightly,
“It’s such a blessing to wake up to sunshine.”
“At our age," DeRay muses,
it's a blessing to wake up;
it's a blessing to wake up;
a bonus to wake up to sunshine.”

Posting a picture of you in a warm climate at the exact moment my feet are frozen ice cubes is just UNFAIR!
