Night and Day

Most days anymore,

I pretty much drag around

Tired and sleepy all day long.

Oddly, when I go to bed

I can’t get to sleep.

Eventually I wake and sleep

All through the night. . .

Going to the bathroom;

Dreaming crazy dreams:

Like we are in our old home

In Orderville

Trying to get in DeRay’s white Cadillac

To go to a Sports Event someplace in Salt Lake City.

When we get out to the street

The car is gone.

Someone sees it at Heaton’s Garage

Time is fleeting

Will we make the game?

We may miss the Star Spangled Banner;

All the kids are late, Devin and Bryan.

When morning arrives and it’s time to get up,

oddly, I have a hard time waking up;

relishing the coziness of my bed.
