The Trike Ride on an October Morn

If
there is even a chance of a sprinkle
or the wind is blowing
or it might be cold,
Eddy declares it unfit for triking
and refuses to leave the comfort of his room.
I coax and cajole
until he finally bundles up in a
winter coat and gloves and heads out.
 Oh. Oh.
Clouds hanging flat over the mountains.
A sure sign of East Winds.
I was so intrigued with the clouds
hanging low and flat over the mountains that
I took 25 pictures of them
and couldn't stand to erase even one.
Do the clouds think they are mountains?

 and other things

 My Daddy was a sheepman
so these scenes of sheepwagons
and equipment
fill me with nostalgia,
especially when the sheep are in town.

I am impressed with how green your lawns are there. I am used to brown ones.

Notice I didn't show our lawn. They turned off the Weber water October 1 (two weeks earlier than usual) so the lawns are on their own.
