Family History and see if I could figure out if I really was related to a witch
from the Salem Witch Trials. My friend relativefinder.org helped me out.
Sure 'nuff we are related to a
'witch' Mary Ayer Parker, who was one of 19 men and women who were hung for the
crime of being a witch during that time. She maintained her innocence and
actually her accuser only accused "Goody Parker" never specifying
which Goody Parker, Goody being a term for "Mrs." Plus in the nearby
area there were at least 4 Mary Parkers including her daughter, daughter-in-law
and probably-senile sister-in-law. Also one petty criminal who gave a bad name
to all Mary Parkers.
Then I told Ashley and
she started looking at our good old pal Relative Finder. Come to find out that
Ashely is also related, directly, to Mary Ayer Parker (our closest relative is
actually Israel Hoyt who is also through the Parker line). Mary is our (meaning
me and my siblings) 9th great-grandmother, and Ashley's 10th.
There you have it folks.
We are related to Ashley and a witch. such illustrious blood. Mom, you're not
related to a witch. Sorry

P.S. We're also share a
relative with Alicia and Butch Cassidy. We figured that one out years
ago.

line: Emily
Alvira Hoyt
That is also the line that connects us
to royalty.
And the line that makes Aunt Mar
Chamberlain Pugh and me second cousins.
Our grandmothers were sisters;
also, a sister to Grandpa Jonathan
Heaton’s first wife
(which intertwines Mama’s and Daddy’s
families without
Them being related at all).
